Experience the thrill of an authentic encounter in the heart of the Mediterranean.
Forget the big, crowded barges. With Daring Excursions, dolphin spotting becomes an intimate, respectful and discovery-filled journey. Starting from the beautiful setting of Porto San Paolo, we will sail along the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, crossing the turquoise waters that separate the mainland from the imposing silhouettes of Tavolara and Molara, until we reach the natural dolphin sanctuary at Aranci Gulf.
The meeting: The Bottlenose dolphins of Figarolo
Our main destination is the protected area between Cala Moresca and the’Island of Figarolo. These waters are home to a resident colony of bottlenose dolphins, which find an ideal habitat here. Thanks to our Captain Andrea's twenty years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the currents and habits of these cetaceans, the probability of sightings exceeds the 95%.
This is not a simple tour, but an ethical observation: we will switch off the engines to let the waves lull us, waiting for them, with their natural curiosity, to approach the dinghy. You will be able to admire them as they play in the wake or as they emerge majestically to breathe, giving you unrepeatable photographic shots
